Truth

They say, its never too late to tell the truth. Is it? Is it never too late to tell the truth? What happens, when the truth changes?  What happens when what you know to be true shifts, ebbs and flows with life? Does it become too late to tell the truth or does the truth simply change like everything else in life?

Are there truths that never change?

“I love you, and because I love, I would sooner have you hate me for telling you the truth than adore me for telling you lies.” – Pietro Aretino

“Unless your heart, your soul, and your whole being are behind every decision you make, the words from your mouth will be empty, and each action will be meaningless. Truth and confidence are the roots of happiness.” – anonymous

So many truths are ever changing, evolving with the waves of life. The expansion and retraction of the heart. We often seek to find the truths we can cling to, the love that won’t change, the relationships that stand the test of time, the heart that won’t fail us. The truths we can stand on. That is all we seek in life is truth. The truth in our work, our heart, our family, our friends, our everyday. The truths that don’t fail us and in this truth we find the legs to stand. The place to grow our roots. The truth in which we become grounded so that we can grow, build, expand and thrive.

About Valerie Christine

I have been writing since I was 13 and was published for the first time at the age of 14. Writing has always been a place to share, to be, to feel with no interruptions. No rules. No judgment. Every piece is like a photograph, a moment in time that only truly exists for that moment because there will never be another moment exactly like it. See, every moment is unique with many variables making it set apart from the next and the next. And so with words, as with pictures, we capture these moments. Like capturing a tear or a laugh or a snowflake. Because truly the only variable is change. And so in words I seek to capture and remember what inevitably shifts and changes.
